Description of project: Demolition and construction of new facilities, and upgrades to and rehabilitation of existing facilities located at an operating water disinfection plant. Description of project: Installation of watermain and related appurtenances. Preston Field RenovationDescription of project: The project includes the renovation of the existing (3300 sf) bleacher building to improve restroom finishes, upgrade fixtures and improve accessibility. The project will upgrade and replace exterior finishes, windows, doors, stairs and railings. Site improvements are to the ball field irrigation and field drainage system and TRPA required BMP improvements to the existing parking lot area. New access ramps and paths are designed for the existing playground.
Construction is estimated to start June 2011 Incline and Third Creek Phase IIIDescription of project: This phase of the Incline and Third Creek Restoration will remove the existing concrete box culvert at Lakeshore Blvd. and replace it with a pre-cast Conspan type bridge. The bridge will span the ordinary high water mark and allow for a natural bottom replacing the existing concrete bottom. This bridge replacement will improve fish passage during low-flows and create aquatic habitat due to the presence of a natural channel bed in place of the concrete bottom. A low-flow channel would be constructed to provide this aquatic habitat. Site construction would include: mobilization and staging of equipment; installation of dewatering equipment;, BMPs, water quality monitoring equipment, and signage; relocating the pedestrian bridge/walkway; surveying of the project area; staking of work areas and daylight lines.
Construction is estimated to start September 2011 Spooner Pump Station UpgradesDescription of project: The Spooner Pumping Station will be modified to upgrade the export pumps to two 250 HP and two 350 HP; remove the existing standby generator and diesel fuel tank, create a bypass system between the discharge and suction headers, include the addition of a building for the new 900 kW standby generator with a 1,600 gallon fuel base tank; and construct a new access road on the south end of the site onto State Route 28. Additionally, the existing Spooner Pumping Station generator will be relocated and installed at the Sewer 1 facility. The existing Sewer 1 generator will then be relocated and installed at the Water Pump Station 5-2 facility. Effluent Export Brochure
