Public Works & UtilitiesPublic Works and Utilities includes of Buildings Maintenance, Engineering, Fleet, Compliance, Pipeline, Billing, Treatment Plant and the WASTE NOT program. The Director of Public Works is Joe Pomroy. Buildings MaintenanceBuildings Maintenance provides takes care of all District-owned facilities. They also assist, direct or install various capital improvement projects such as playgrounds, carpets, decking, and sidewalks. EngineeringEngineering staff are responsible for the design, scheduling, bidding, and contract administration and construction oversight of District projects. Engineering is also responsible for the archival of plans and plat maps, water rights administration and master planning activities for Incline Village. FleetThe Fleet Division maintains the 500 plus vehicles and equipment in use throughout the District, ranging from snow cats and snowmobiles to backhoes, loaders, trucks, and grounds maintenance equipment. ComplianceThe Compliance Team implements plan review, inspection, backflow, and code enforcement programs for the District. PipelineThe Pipeline Team maintains and repairs 92 miles of water mains sized between 4 to 24 inches, 105 miles of sewer mains sized between 6 to 24 inches, 20 miles of effluent line that exports out of the Lake Tahoe basin into the Carson Valley, and all the appurtenances that are related to them. Pipeline is also responsible for snow removal of all District-owned facilities. Treatment PlantThe Plant team operates and maintains the water and wastewater "fixed plant," comprised of an 8 MGD (million gallons per day) water disinfection plant and master pump station, 12 reservoirs, 12 pump stations, a 3 MGD waste water treatment plant, 18 sewer pump stations and a 900 acre wetland for reclaimed water and wild fowl hunting. Billing OfficeThe Utilities Billing crew is responsible for establishing and maintaining customer utility accounts. The department bills approximately 4,200 active accounts each month for water, sewer and sanitation collection services. The crew provides our customers with a high standard of courteous and effective service responsive to the individual customer’s needs. WASTE NOTWASTE NOT is the conservation program of Incline Village General Improvement District.
