2008 SUMMER SEASON

J-1 Visa Jobs (Students)

Permits foreign students to work for 4 months and allows for 1 month of travel at the end (total of 5 months). Priority given to students available to work the complete summer season (usually start May/Juneand work through September/October) in various departments.

We are recruiting 20 new students through INTRAX Work & Travel Placement Program. No other sponsor agency is being used. You need to contact INTRAX to begin the process of obtaining your work visa BEFORE you apply. You can contact them at (http://www.experienceintrax.com/).

Available J-1 visa jobs include Cooks, Dishwashers, Lifeguards, Parks Maintenance, Recreation Leader (kids programs) and Childcare Leader. Foreign students returning to work at IVGID for another season may use other sponsor agencies.

IMPORTANT: We are not able to guarantee the average number of hours per week or the duration of employment due to weather and other business needs.

2008-2009 WINTER SEASON

H2b Jobs (Non-Students)

Diamond Peak Ski Resort applies for an H-2b temporary Specialist Work Visa. Permits foreign applicants to work for Diamond Peak only in a specific position. Dates usually November 1 through May 1.

We sponsor approximately 20 experienced and/or certified Ski or Snowboard Instructors to work at the Child Ski Center and Skier Services Departments only. Visa’s are on a first-come, first-serve basis, with special consideration given to foreign applicants returning to Diamond Peak.

J-1 Visa Jobs (Students)

Permits foreign students to work for 4 months and allows for 1 month of travel at the end (total of 5 months). Priority given to students available to work the complete winter season (usually December through March/April) in most departments. Diamond Peak hires approximately 35 new J-1 students each winter. We will be recruiting from the following countries, New Zealand, Australia & Argentina. Foreign students returning to work another season at Diamond Peak may use other sponsor agencies.

North Lake Tahoe Express offers scheduled, VIP airport service from 3:30 am until 11:00 pm to and from the North Lake Tahoe region and Reno/Tahoe International Airport everyday!
