Blue Bag Program Update

Incline and Crystal Bay Residents -

RECYCLE IN 4 EASY STEPS!
1. Rinse off all food residue.
2. Place all recyclable materials into a blue bag.
3. Tie the bag securely.
4. Keep the bears safe, set bags curbside after 5:00 am on day of service only.

WHAT CAN I RECYCLE IN THE BLUE BAGS?
Glass (all colors)
Aluminum Cans / Aluminum Foil
Steel / Tin Cans
Clean Mixed Paper including: envelopes, junk mail, all white or colored office paper, newspaper, magazines and paper bags.
Corrugated Cardboard: flatten/cut into smaller pieces; it must fit in the blue bag. NO food stained boxes (pizza boxes).
Paperboard including: food packaging such as cereal boxes, soda boxes, paper towel rolls, egg cartons. NO used paper plates or coffee cups.
Plastics: All shapes and sizes with the following numbers on the bottom of the package: #1 through #7. NO plastic bags, NO plastic film, NO (#6) Styrofoam.
Rigid Plastics: Laundry baskets, snow toys, must fit in the blue bag.

WHEN DO I PUT THE BLUE BAGS OUT?
Residential recycling is picked up every other week, on the same day as your garbage service.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHICH DAY MY RECYCLING WILL BE PICKED UP?

WHERE DO I BUY BAGS?
100-ct cases of heavy-duty, extra large bags (approximate retail $35) are available at:

Boxes of smaller bags (approximate retail $5) are available at:
• Raley’s Supermarket, 930 Tahoe Blvd, Incline Village, NV

• Village Market, 898 Tanager Street, Incline Village, NV

DO I NEED TO SORT EVERYTHING?
No need to sort! Please remove all liquids, rinse food containers, and flatten or break down bulky items.

HOW MUCH CAN I RECYCLE?
There is no limit on the number of blue bags, or the amount of recycling you place out for collection. Fifty-pound limit in each bag.
